Yakima City Guide

Yakima sits 3 hours from Seattle in the heart of the Yakima Valley. This agricultural area is known for its apples, hops (used in beer), and mint, which grow in a fertile setting that averages 300 days of sunshine a year. It is also the state's top wine-producing region - tour the nearby Rattlesnake Hills for a sampling of local wines and gorgeous vineyards - and home to the Yakima River Canyon, a popular outdoor recreational area on the Yakima River. Fine dining in town is also available at popular spots like Sage Restaurant and Wine Bar.
