•  Denver Art Museum
  
  The Denver Art Museum has gone titanium, literally. Completed in 2006, the newest addition to this world-famous museum is the Daniel Libeskind-designed Frederic C. Hamilton Building. The cubist-like building's exterior is composed of highly reflective titanium, while the angular interior houses art from a variety of genres. Rediscover the 7th floor of the Denver Art Museum! After closing the 7th floor in 2004 for renovations, the museum has opened nine refurbished galleries featuring historic Western American art. Around 155 paintings and sculptures created before 1950 will be on display in the exhibit, Creating the West in Art. Stroll through scenes of stampeding horses, victorious battles and feel the energy of a bucking bronco while you gaze upon unspoiled Western territory. It's not every day you get to admire the works of Charles Marion Russell and Frederic Remington. In addition, the Berger Western Discovery Library will reopen so visitors of all ages can learn, play and remember the West. Hang out in the leather sofas and surround yourself with pillows while you skim through an extensive collections of books, listen to western music at iPod listening stations, play with vintage cameras and share a laugh while dressing up in costumes. Free First Saturdays: The first Saturday of every month is free for Colorado residents.

•  Denver Performing Arts Complex
  
  The Denver Performing Arts Complex is the largest indoor arts complex in the world. This behemoth of high culture houses Denver's opera, ballet, theater and orchestral performances. In fact, it's plausible that a lover of the arts could enjoy the diminuendos and crescendos of an orchestra and within minutes walk next door to see the plie and brise of a classically trained ballerina.

•  City Park
  
  As Denver's largest park, City Park is home to miles of trails, acres of grassy spaces and two lakes, and it still has room for both the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo. •  16th Street Mall - Pedestrian Mall
  
  Walk and shop in downtown Denver along the 16th Street Mall. Restaurants, bars, clothing stores and even a bowling alley that promotes martinis over beer are found along this 16-block stretch of 16th Street where no cars are allowed. If your arms get too tired from carrying all your goodies, hop on the MallRide, a fleet of free, hybrid electric buses that run the length of the mall.

•  Four Mile Historic Park
  
  Constructed in 1859, Four Mile House is the oldest standing structure in Denver. Incredible stewardship and maintenance have helped keep this frontier home alive. Today, in addition to touring the house, visitors can take rides on a reconstructed stagecoach around the grounds, where smithies and other Old West craftsmen demonstrate what life was like in the 1800s.
