Bartlett Cove/Beardslee Islands Kayaking
Most kayakers paddling in the lower bay regions meet at 9:00am on their departure date. Kayaks can then be launched into Bartlett Cove and paddled toward the campground or the Beardslee Islands. The Beardslees offer splendid beach camping and viewing of marine wildlife and birds. For placed paddling, solitude, lush beach and forest vegetation and varied wildlife, the Beardslees make a superb 2-3 day trip. Consider combining your Beardslees kayaking trip with a day cruise on the daily tour boat.

Fishing for Salmon
The Icy Strait is one of the world's most productive halibut and salmon fisheries. In fact, some halibut here can reach 300 pounds. Contact a commercial outfitter; they can guide you to the hot spots, both on sea and land. Fly fisherman will love the opportunity to hook into a silver, sockeye or king salmon - these legendary fighters often take anglers to their backing.
