If you liked The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, you won't want to miss this return trip into the intricate and intense world of Edward Albee. In this stunning examination of personal relationships, he asks, "Who do you turn to when life becomes too much to bear?" You could seek the warmth and security of family, except that loved ones are sometimes more dangerous than the outside world. Funny, biting and tragic all at the same time, this is a high-definition look at the minefield we call modern living.
A musical preshow, directed by Harlan Hokin, begins 15 minutes before curtain.
Helpful Information: Half-price Student Rush tickets are available 15 minutes before curtain (with student ID).

Ann Simmons-Myers: Photographs
The Temple Gallery presents Ann Simmons-Myers: Photographs, featuring a selection of landscape photographs of Japan and Sri Lanka from the series Prior Vision. The images were made over two trips to Sri Lanka that documented the effects of a tsunami on the war-torn country in 2005 and a 2006 trip to Japan.
During this period Simmons-Myers' studio burnt down, destroying her ability to make photographs, causing her to question her own artistic beliefs, and she stopped working altogether for a brief time. When she returned to work, Simmons-Myers realized that these photographs documented the beauty and idiosyncrasies of daily life, and that these moments formed the continuous thread in her work.
As digital technology overtakes film and photo chemistry, Simmons-Myers says she is suffering from "digital distress." An expert in "alternative processes," the 19th and early 20th century methods of making photographs she mourns the loss of making an object with her hands. Not only is sitting at a computer to make images unfulfilling to her, she is too independent to accept the insertion of a virtual world between the artist and the finished photograph. However, in her show Simmons-Myers shows us a range of possibilities by combining these two antithetical ways of making pictures, abrading, over painting and burnishing her straight digital photographs, creating something entirely new.

Ansel Adams - A Legacy
A survey of more than 100 photographs by famed landscape photographer Ansel Adams (1902-1984), this exhibition is a tribute to one of the 20th century's most admired artists. Many of Adams' most famous images are included and presented in the more intimate scale he intended them to be viewed. The works were originally printed by the artist himself in his California darkroom and given to The Friends of Photography to represent his legacy.
