How can I redeem a Mileage Plan™ Award?
There are two award redemption options:
Book Online: Earn 1,000 Bonus Miles the first time you redeem miles for an award ticket at alaskaair.com.
For award travel within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico on Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and American Airlines you can shop, reserve, and pay with miles—all in one transaction. Round-trip, open-jaw, one way, AS50 and multi-city awards may all be booked online.
Book by Phone: For Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air Money & Miles (AS50), Saver and Peak Awards or First Class Upgrade Awards on Alaska Airlines, please call 1-800-ALASKAAIR (1-800-252-7522). For Partner Awards, please call 1-800-307-6912. Tickets issued by Reservations will incur a $10 (USD) service fee.
What are the different Award Types?
- AS50 Award Money & 7,500 Miles One Way-
Valid on itineraries with flights operated only by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air." Receive up to a 50% discount on most fares. Maximum discount allowed is $250 (USD) off of the base fare." Earn Mileage Plan Miles when traveling on this award. Complimentary upgrades not allowed. - Saver Award Starting at 10,000 Miles One Way-

Valid on itineraries with flights operated by partner airlines. Availability is limited. - Peak Award Starting at 20,000 Miles One Way-

Can I redeem my Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles on another airline?
Yes, you can now book award travel reservations online for travel within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and American Airlines. Can I change or cancel my award reservation?
You can change or cancel your award reservation and have your miles redeposited without penalty within

What is "open-jaw" travel?
An open-jaw travel itinerary allows you to fly from your origin to your destination and return to your origin from a point other than your destination. The portion not flown is the open-jaw segment. For example: fly from Anchorage to Los Angeles and return to Anchorage from San Diego. Contact Reservations at
Tax and Fee Information
Passenger is responsible for the following taxes and fees on award travel: September 11th U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement. Additionally to Canada: U.S. Immigration User Fee of $7; U.S. Aphis Fee of $5; Canadian Airport Improvement Fee (varies by airport); Canadian Security Fee of $9 (fluctuates with exchange rate). All taxes are subject to change without notice due to government discretion. All taxes and fees shown are in USD based on one-way travel and may be doubled if traveling round-trip.
