Aircraft Livery

Alaska aircraft are white with a blue Alaska logo on the side. Most striking is the image of the Native Alaskan on the tail, which attests to the airline's strong heritage of service to and involvement in Alaskan communities. The airline also has six specially themed aircraft:

Spirit of Alaska Statehood

Unveiled in 2009, the "Spirit of Alaska Statehood" was painted with a Sitka high school student's winning design to celebrate 50 years of Alaska statehood. The unique livery on a Boeing 737-400 aircraft was created by 16-year-old Hannah Hamberg. It features a musher and sled dog, state ferry, Native Alaskan canoe, bear and whale, along with the statement, "We're all pulling together." Hamberg's design was selected from among thousands of submissions by students across Alaska in a statewide "Paint the Plane" contest. View hi-res image.

Spirit of Seattle

Introduced in 2008, the "Spirit of Seattle" celebrates Alaska Airlines' longstanding business relationship with its hometown partner, The Boeing Co. The special livery features Boeing's sweeping blue stripes and Alaska's beloved Eskimo. View hi-res image.

Starliner 75

"Starliner 75," unveiled in 2007, is painted in a classic livery that Alaska Airlines used on its DC-3s and other aircraft from the early 1940s until after World War II. The design was modified slightly to recognize the carrier's 75th anniversary. View hi-res image.

Spirit of Make-A-Wish

Alaska Airlines introduced the "Spirit of Make-A-Wish" aircraft in 2006 to celebrate the long-term partnership between the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, Alaska Airlines and Disneyland Resorts to make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The special livery features the image of the wish-granting Genie from Disney's "Aladdin" and the Make-A-Wish Foundation logo. View hi-res image.

Salmon-Thirty-Salmon

Alaska Airlines unveiled the "Salmon-Thirty-Salmon" in 2005 to celebrate its commitment to shipping seafood from Alaska to the Lower 48 and to promote the consumption of wild Alaska seafood. The special livery was funded by the Alaska Fisheries Marketing Board. View hi-res image.

alaskaair.com

One aircraft is painted with the logo of the company's Web site, alaskaair.com. The award-winning Web site was the first in North America to sell tickets online.

Disneyland

Two aircraft, the "Spirit of Disneyland II" and the "Magic of Disneyland," feature well-known Disney characters in tribute to the airline's long-term partnership with Disneyland® Resort. View hi-res image.
