Horizon Air Company Cargo Facts

Updated January 2010

In combination with sister carrier Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air operates the most extensive air cargo operation on the U.S. West Coast. The combined team of Alaska Air Group Cargo Services covers more than 80 cities from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to Barrow, Alaska, and many points in between.

For packages that must be there today, Horizon offers a flight-specific, guaranteed same-day cargo service—Goldstreak Package Express. This small package express service is offered throughout the Alaska Air Group system, but Goldstreak shipments may also be transferred to any carrier with whom Horizon Air has an interline package express agreement for transport to any destination within the United States. Goldstreak packages must weigh less than 100 pounds.

Horizon offers a number of additional cargo options—from same day and next-day priority to economy levels—to all Horizon cities, except Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, B.C., and Edmonton, Alberta.

The carrier operates its own cargo facilities in Boise, Idaho; Eugene, OR; Portland, OR; Pasco, WA; and Spokane, WA. Horizon shares operations with Alaska Airlines in multiple cities. In Horizon cities where there is not a separate cargo facility, cargo is handled at the passenger ticket counter.
