Glenn Johnson was appointed president of Horizon Air in June 2010.
Johnson joined Alaska Air Group in 1982. In his nearly 30 years with Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines, he has served the company in a wide range of roles, including:
Andy Schneider has been senior vice president of customer services since July 2003.. She is responsible for Horizon's largest division, consisting of more than 2,000 employees. She oversees station operations at more than 40 airports covering five states, British Columbia and Alberta. Her responsibilities include services training and customer relations, inflight services, facilities and network services, food and beverage services, airport affairs, and security.
Previously, she worked at Alaska Airlines for 14 years. As staff vice president of station operations and cargo services, Schneider was in charge of the administration and operation of more than 50 stations, cargo sales and cargo operations, and security.
Additionally, Schneider spent six years overseeing inflight services, first as an assistant vice president and later as staff vice president of inflight services and station operations. She began her career as Alaska's manager of financial accounting in 1989. She joined Alaska from the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Company.
A native of Boise, Schneider holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a business administration degree from Gonzaga University.
Mark Eliasen has been vice president, Finance, since September 2009. He is responsible for all of Horizon’s core finance-related activities, serves as the senior Horizon focal for all finance-related Alaska Air Group shared services, and coordinates the support Horizon receives from other AAG shared service areas.
Prior to joining Horizon, Eliasen practiced in the Puget Sound area as an independent corporate finance consultant in the technology, manufacturing and service industries. Before that, he served as assistant treasurer for WRQ (now Attachmate), a high-ranking connectivity software company headquartered in Seattle, and as director of finance for Everett-based Intermec Technologies, a leading manufacturer of barcode systems.
A certified public accountant, Eliasen holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.
Gene Hahn has been vice president of flight operations since June 2003. He is directly responsible for flight systems and procedures, dispatch, crew scheduling and training.
Hahn began with Horizon in 2000 as vice president, Maintenance and Engineering.
Before joining Horizon, Hahn worked for Middletown, Pa.-based Allegheny Airlines, a US Airways Express carrier, as vice president of maintenance and engineering.
Prior to that, he spent 14 years at American Eagle/Wings West Airlines, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility—including director and then vice president of flight operations, director of flight training/standards, and vice president of maintenance and engineering. He was also a captain-qualified Saab 340 pilot and check airman for Wings West.
A San Francisco native, Hahn holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif.
Dan Russo has been vice president, Marketing and Communications, since June 2008. He is responsible for the airline’s marketing, planning, sales and advertising functions, along with all aspects of internal and external communications. He is also the primary interface with the Alaska Air Group Shared Services teams responsible for the market and schedule planning and revenue management activities for both Horizon and Alaska Airlines.
Previously, Dan served as Horizon’s director of sales and marketing for 21 years. He was hired in February 1986 as a sales manager and was promoted to the director position the following year.
During his career at Horizon, Dan has been responsible for such notable milestones as the company rebranding that resulted in a whole new look for the airline, Horizon’s award-winning Clark and Lewis radio commercials, and the 25th anniversary and Pac-10 aircraft designs.
Before joining Horizon Air, Russo held management and executive positions at AirCal, Wien Airlines and American Discovery Tours in Mercer Island, Wash.
A graduate of San Jose State University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
