Mileage Plan ranks highest in J.D. Power's 2014 Airline Loyalty/Rewards Program Satisfaction Report SM"
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan ranked highest in overall customer satisfaction based on six factors, including ease of redeeming points/miles; reward program terms; account maintenance/management; ease of earning points/miles; variety of benefits available; and customer service. The report is based on responses from more than 3,800 airline loyalty and reward program members surveyed in March 2014.
Corporate Equality Index — Top Score
Alaska Air Group has received a perfect score of 100% on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC).
The 2015 CEI rated 971 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
Alaska Airlines efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.

Federal Aviation Administration
FAA Diamond Award 2001 - 2012
Alaska Airlines has received the Federal Aviation Administration's Diamond Award for maintenance training excellence for 12 consecutive years. The Diamond Award, the FAA's most prestigious maintenance honor, recognizes Alaska's ongoing commitment to aircraft maintenance and training excellence. The FAA's William O'Brian Maintenance Technician Awards program began in 1991. It provides incentives for aircraft technicians to participate in initial and recurrent training, either on their own or in programs offered by their company. Alaska qualified for a Diamond Award when 100 percent of its aircraft technicians completed training last year.

2012 Travel + Leisure Global Vision Award
Alaska Airlines has been selected as a recipient of a 2012 Travel + Leisure Global Vision Award for Sustainability. Introduced in 2005, the Awards recognize the outstanding efforts of individuals and organizations that are working to preserve the world's natural and man-made treasures.
In the 1990’s, Alaska Airlines pioneered satellite navigation technology that maps the shortest possible flight path, reducing its carbon footprint by 30 percent since 2004. It’s also the first U.S. airline to commit multiple commercial flights to biofuel and, in 2011 alone, in-flight recycling diverted 500 tons of trash from landfills.
Air Cargo Excellence Award
Alaska Airlines was awarded with an Air Cargo Award of Excellence in Air Cargo World's eighth annual Air Cargo Excellence (ACE) Survey in the "up to 299,999 tonnes" category in March 2012. Alaska Airlines was ranked in the top 10 airlines out of competing carriers from across the globe in the following criteria: customer service, performance, value and information technology. Alaska Air Cargo also received this award in 2011.
Express Delivery & Logistics Association (XLA) Airline Excellence Awards
Alaska Air Cargo was awarded with "The Most Improved Airline" and "Excellence in Web & Technology" in March 2012 by the Express Delivery and Logistics Association (XLA). Each year, XLA industry members participate in a survey evaluating the performance of each XLA airline member in four different categories: communication, service, website, technology and overall value.

2011 Air Transport World Airline Technology Leadership Award
Alaska Airlines has received the 2011 Airline Technology Leadership Award by Air Transport World, the leading monthly magazine covering the global airline industry. This is the second time Alaska has won the award, recognizing the airline's extensive track record of innovation in flight safety and airport operations, ticket distribution, and marketing and customer technology.

"Alaska Airlines named to the 2011 Washington Green 50 list"
Seattle Business Magazine recognized Alaska Airlines among the winners of the 2011 Green Washington Awards during a dinner and awards ceremony Sept. 21, 2011, at the Fremont Studios in Seattle. The event brought together 350 attendees from across the state to recognize Washington state companies that demonstrate leadership in sustainability and environmental practices.
Alaska Airlines earned a dual-recognition when it was named to the 2011 Washington Green 50 list, which recognizes the most sustainably operated companies and organizations in Washington, and by taking top honors among its peers by winning the service category. The awards are a testament to the airline's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and stepping-up its leadership role in green business practices.
The magazine cited Alaska for its pioneering use of Required Navigation Performance, which allow aircraft to fly more precisely, and cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. It also lauded the airline's young and efficient fleet of 737s and the use of winglets, all of which allowed Alaska to rank #1 in fuel efficiency per available seat mile among U.S. domestic airlines in 2009, according to Department of Transportation data. Finally, it noted that Alaska has an industry-leading inflight recycling program that allowed the airline to capture 46 percent of recyclable material in 2010, with plans to improve that rate this year.

Alaska Airlines was voted among the 100 best companies to work for in Washington State in the Seattle Business magazine's annual rankings. Alaska ranked seventh in the category for large businesses and was the only airline to be listed.

Most Pet-Friendly Airline 2010
Smarter Travel voted Alaska Airlines the Most Pet-Friendly Airline for Checked Baggage. In addition to no pet deaths in 2009, Alaska Airlines checked pet fee was ranked the lowest in the industry.

The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® was named "Best Loyalty Credit Card" in the Americas two years in a row at the Frequent Traveler Awards.

Alaska also received first-place honors for Best Elite-Level Program for the fourth consecutive year and Best Website for the sixth year.
