Membership
  • Membership expires one year from the date of processing. Memberships may be renewed online, at any Alaska Lounge location, or over the phone by calling Guest Care at 1-800-654-5669. Membership renewals can be made up to 60 days prior to membership expiration.
  • Alaska Airlines reserves the right to restrict, alter, and/or modify the fees, benefits, services, and lounge locations and hours at any time, with or without written notice to its members.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Membership card
  • Upon renewal or purchase of new membership, digital membership cards are immediately available on the Alaska mobile app in the account section.
  • Membership cards are not transferable and may not be loaned to others. Membership cards presented by anyone other than the cardholder will be logged and membership may be revoked with no refund provided.
  • Alaska Lounge+ members must show their digital membership card to gain access to all partner locations. Entry will not be granted by partners without a digital membership card.

Alaska Lounge and Lounge+ Members

Membership in the Alaska Lounge is open to all persons 18 years of age and older and allows entry to all 9 Alaska Lounges. As of February 1, 2024, Lounge members will need to provide at the time of entry, a valid boarding pass for a flight that day on Alaska, a fellow oneworld member airline, or one of our additional global airline partners.***

Members are welcome to bring immediate family (partner and children under the age of 21) or up to 2 friends at no extra charge. Lounge members must accompany family and guests at all times and are responsible for their conduct. All guests must be personally known by the member.

To access the Alaska Lounge, members and guests must present a same day ticketed boarding pass. We may ask for a valid membership card or a government-issued photo ID. You may be asked to sign a roster with your name and Alaska Lounge account number upon entering affiliated lounges.

Members may purchase a Lounge Day Pass for additional traveling companions, or for guests and family not traveling with the member, at a reduced rate of $30 USD per person. Children younger than 2 can accompany an adult member at no charge. Alaska Lounge+ members also have access to nearly 90 partner lounges. Policies for each partner lounge can be found here.

Paid or award First Class ticket on Alaska Airlines

Entry to the Alaska Lounge when traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket* on flights operated by Alaska Airlines where one flight has a distance of at least 2,100 miles on the day of travel.

Guests traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket where no single flight operated by Alaska Airlines exceeds 2,100 miles may purchase a discounted Single-Entry Lounge Pass for $30, subject to space availability. **

Guests do not have access to other oneworld® member lounges.

*Flights with at least 2,100 miles include coast-to-coast, Hawaii and international long-haul flights. Flight distance can be found in the flight details or summary section of an itinerary.

Paid or award First Class ticket on Alaska Airlines—Club 49 members

When traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket* on flights operated by Alaska Airlines to, through, or from the State of Alaska, regardless of flight distance, only on the day of their flight.**

Guests do not have access to other oneworld® member lounges.

First Class upgrades

Upgraded First Class tickets (U Class) operated by Alaska Airlines are not eligible for complimentary lounge access. Upgraded guests, whether complimentary, paid, or using miles can purchase a Single-Entry Lounge Pass for $30, subject to space availability. **

oneworld® Emerald and Sapphire, including Alaska MVP® Gold, Gold 75K, and Gold 100K

Alaska Airlines Emerald and Sapphires may access the Alaska Lounge when traveling on a oneworld® member airline to a destination outside of the US, Canada, or Mexico.

American Airlines Emerald and Sapphire may access the Alaska Lounge when traveling on a oneworld® member airline to a destination outside of the US, Canada, Mexico (exc. Mexico City) or the Caribbean.

If you've earned Emerald or Sapphire through an airline other than American or Alaska, you are not required to have an international itinerary. However, all guests must include their eligible frequent flyer number on their reservation prior to check-in to access the lounge. oneworld® frequent flyer membership cards do not grant access to the lounge and the frequent flyer number on the reservation will determine whether a member is eligible for access.

Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge.

Paid or Award First Class ticket on oneworld® member airlines

When traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket on oneworld® member airline with at least one international flight greater than 5 hours in length. The First Class ticket must be on the international segment.

Eligible customers may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. Guests must be traveling on a oneworld® flight. Guests may also visit other oneworld® member First or Business lounges.

Paid or Award Business Class ticket on oneworld® member airlines

When traveling on a paid Business Class or a Business Class award ticket on a oneworld® member airline with at least one international leg greater than 5 hours in length. The Business Class ticket must be on the international segment.

Guests may also visit other oneworld® member Business lounges. Access policies vary by location and can be found here.

Paid or Award First Class ticket on select American Airlines transcon routes (oneworld® qualifying access)

When traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket on flights operated by American Airlines on the following routes: JFK–SFO, SFO–JFK, JFK–LAX, and LAX–JFK.

American Admirals Club Member Access

Complimentary access to Alaska Airlines Lounges (when departing or arriving on flights marketed and operated by American or Alaska Airlines). Admirals Clubs members must present current physical or digital Admirals Club Membership card.

Complimentary access for all Concierge Key Members who present current physical or digital card. Complimentary access for all Airpass Members who present physical or digital card. Complimentary access for all Citi Executive Primary Cardholders who present current physical card. (Authorized users not included in complimentary access to Alaska Lounges.)

Admirals Club members are welcome to bring immediate family (partner and children under the age of 21) or up to 2 friends at no extra charge. Lounge members must accompany family and guests at all times and are responsible for their conduct. All guests must be personally known by the member.

Single-Entry Lounge Pass

Non-members, age 18 and older, may purchase a Single-Entry Lounge Pass for entrance on a space available basis and at select locations. Single-Entry Lounge Passes are valid only in the location where purchased.** As of February 1, 2024, entry will be limited to a valid boarding pass for a flight that day on Alaska, a fellow oneworld® member airline, or one of our additional global partners.

Our JFK Lounge is limited to selling Single-Entry Lounge Passes only to those flying on Alaska Airlines or a oneworld® member airline.

MVP Gold 75K Day Pass

Day Pass entry to all Alaska Lounge locations. As of February 1, 2024, entry will be limited to a valid boarding pass for a flight that day on Alaska, a fellow oneworld® member airline, or one of our additional global partners.

Active Duty military

Alaska Lounge access is complimentary for U.S. military personnel traveling on official government-sponsored travel through SATO and ticketed to fly on an Alaska flight departing within 3 hours. A valid Military ID must be presented.

All other Active Duty military personnel with a valid ID, traveling on a paid or award ticket, may purchase a Alaska Lounge Day Pass at the discounted rate of $30 in all Alaska Lounge locations subject to availability. **

*Applies to fares booked in C, D, E, J, or I class.
**Single-Entry Lounge Pass and Lounge Day Pass access are subject to space availability.
***Club 49 Lounge members can access when flying on a regional carrier within the state of Alaska.
Alaska Lounge house rules Guidelines
  • We respectfully ask that guests enjoy lounge offerings within the room and not remove food, beverages, or periodicals from the Alaska Lounge, except for purchased made-to-order meals, tea, or coffee.
  • In compliance with fire and safety standards, airport luggage carts are not permitted in any Alaska Lounge.
  • In compliance with state guidelines, quiet pets in carry-on kennels and service animals are welcome in the Alaska Lounge. The pet must stay in its container (including head and tail) with the door/flap secured at all times in the Alaska Lounge. Animals are not allowed on any furniture and are not allowed to eat or drink from lounge service ware. The staff reserves the right to request that a pet be removed from the Alaska Lounge in the event it becomes unruly or disruptive to other guests. Service animals do not need to be in a container, but must stay on the floor. All policies associated with service animals traveling on Alaska Airlines flights applies in the Alaska Lounge with the understanding that local regulations regarding service animals supersede Lounge policies.
Behaviors in Lounge
  • Smoking, chewing tobacco, and using smokeless tobacco and electronic cigarettes are prohibited.
  • As a courtesy to other guests, please use headphones when using personal devices such as smartphones, laptops and tablets.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must behave in a manner conducive to the quiet atmosphere of the Alaska Lounge. The staff reserves the right to ask the accompanying adult to take a child out of the room if the child becomes unruly or disruptive to other guests.
  • To protect the value of membership by maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and order, members and guests are asked to refrain from sleeping, lying on the floor, and placing feet on or reclining across Alaska Lounge furniture.
  • Alaska Airlines will not be held responsible for any articles lost or stolen in the Alaska Lounge.
  • Alaska Lounge hours vary by location and are subject to change.
  • Guests who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs (unless due to a documented disability) may be denied access to the lounge for the safety and comfort of other guests and our staff.
  • As a courtesy to others, guests are asked to keep cell phone conversations at a quiet, non-disruptive level. Alaska Lounge staff reserves the right to ask a guest to take their call in a designated area.
Restrictions on attendance
  • Employees from Alaska Airlines or any other airline are not permitted access while in uniform. Alaska Lounge Staff reserves the right to ask the individual to remove or cover the uniform or accessory and present a valid same-day boarding pass for entry. Employees must be intending to travel and cannot enter the Alaska Lounge or any of our partner lounges while on duty, on reserve, or while commuting.
  • Alaska Airlines may refuse admission to, or revoke the membership privileges of, those who fail to comply with the above guidelines and those who disrupt other members or guests.
  • Alaska Airlines may refuse or revoke access to the Alaska Lounge to guests whose conduct is deemed by Alaska Airlines to be disruptive, inappropriate, offensive, threatening, intimidating, violent, belligerent, irrational, or otherwise dangerous to Alaska Airlines employees or other guests. Alaska Airlines also reserves the right to terminate a guest's membership in the Alaska Lounge program and ban a guest from future participation in the Alaska Lounge program for engaging in this conduct. Guests whose access to the Alaska Lounge is revoked or whose membership in the Alaska Lounge program is terminated due to abusive conduct will not receive a refund.
  • The lounge is for guest aged years 18 and over, minors are permitted with an eligible adult accompanying their entire visit

Frequently asked questions: oneworld® Since I am an Alaska MVP Gold/Gold 75k/Gold 100k, I have lounge benefits through oneworld, does this mean I no longer need an Alaska Lounge membership?

Lounge benefits through oneworld have specific entry requirements and exclude domestic and some international itineraries. An Alaska Lounge membership will enable you to access Alaska Lounges when flying on itineraries that are excluded from the oneworld entry requirements and allows access when flying any carrier, even non-oneworld ones.

I am an Alaska Lounge member, am I now able to enter all oneworld partner lounges?

Alaska Lounge partner locations are a separate program from oneworld, although there is some overlap. Lounge+ members will still have access to Admirals Club when flying Alaska or American Airlines and Qantas Club locations when flying Qantas. To access other oneworld partner lounges, you will need to be traveling on an eligible oneworld itinerary.

I am an MVP Gold, Gold 75k, or Gold 100k and I'm flying First or Business Class on a long-haul international flight operated by a oneworld member carrier. Am I able to access the Alaska Lounge?

If your itinerary is ticketed by Alaska or a oneworld carrier, and includes a long-haul international flight operated by a oneworld carrier then you are eligible for lounge access.

I am a oneworld Emerald or Sapphire via a oneworld member airline other than American or Alaska, do I need to be on an international itinerary to enter the lounge?

If you are a oneworld Emerald or Sapphire member that has been earned through an airline other than American or Alaska, you are not required to have an international itinerary. For valid entry, the qualifying frequent flier number must be in your reservation.


Frequently asked questions: Alaska Lounge How long is a Lounge pass valid for?

Single-Entry Lounge passes are valid only in the location where purchased. The following exceptions apply:

  • Future use or additional guest day passes for Lounge Members
  • Day passes for Active Duty military
  • Gold 75K passes

I am in the military, do I get access?

Can I bring my Emotional Support Animal into the lounge?

No, emotional support animals are not allowed. Only Service Animals are permitted in our lounges.

I am flying in First Class on an airline other than Alaska, do I get lounge access?

No, only eligible First Class itineraries on Alaska Airlines or an eligible oneworld itinerary receives lounge access.
