The "LA Galaxy Direct Kick Sweepstakes" (the "Contest") begins on March 14, 2013 at 12:00:00 PM PDT and ends October 20, 2013 by 11:59:59 PM PDT all entries via text will be compiled within the system, in which prizes will be randomly rewarded. The Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older, who hold a valid driver's license. Message and data rates may apply. Void where prohibited by law. One entry per person. Employees or agents of (a) Alaska Airlines and affiliated companies and (b) Hipcricket, any entity associated with the sponsorship or conduct of the Contest, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate in the Contest.
How to Enter
Participants will text in GOAL to 44227 from their mobile phone to be entered for chance to win a Galaxy Prize Pack and for a chance to be one (1) of three (3) individuals to score a goal at one (1) of six (6) upcoming LA Galaxy matches. Prizes
Each Winner will receive one (1) Galaxy Prize Pack with select merchandise (Approximate Retail Value of each Galaxy Prize Pack not to exceed $50). Each Winner will be entered into the half time competition with two (2) additional participants and be eligible to win One Bonus Prize including One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets Anywhere Alaska Airlines Flies. The Winner of the April 20th Direct Kick Competition only, will be eligible to win the Grand Prize including One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Cabo San Lucas and Hotel Accommodations for two (2). The Hotel Accommodations are subject to the following restrictions: Valid from February 2013 - February 2014 only. Blackout dates: Easter week, last week of the year including Christmas, New Years Eve, and New Years Day Subject to availability. Alaska Airlines Round Trip Coach Class Tickets are Valid for travel April 20, 2013 - October 20, 2014. Blackout dates include November 21 - December 1, 2013 and December 20, 2013 - January 4, 2014. Prizes are non-transferable, based on availability and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. This certificate is valid for flights served by Alaska Airlines flights numbered (1-999, 2000 -2999) and/or Sky West Airlines flights (3450-3499) Mileage Plan Miles cannot be earned or credited. First Class paid upgrades or mileage plan upgrades are allowed. Stopovers and connections are also allowed (subject to fare rules). Once ticketed, routing and name changes are not allowed. This certificate is void if bartered or sold. If lost, this certificate may not be reissued. All prizes must be claimed by October 27, 2013.
Conditions/Restrictions
By entering this contest, entrants are to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and all applicable text messaging fees. Participants acknowledge that they may be participating in a separate competition against another sweepstakes winner who is eligible to win the Bonus Prize and Grand Prize. Alaska Airlines is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible or incorrect entries. Winner must produce identification satisfactory to Alaska Airlines and agrees that his or her name, photograph and likeness may be used for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release, including a publicity release, as prepared by Alaska Airlines within five (5) days after receipt and prior to receiving the prize. Winners will be responsible for payment of any taxes or fees, which result from the receipt and/or use of their prize. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Contest will be disqualified. In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each participant agrees to release and indemnify Alaska Airlines, Anschutz L.A. Soccer Inc., and any other related entity and entities affiliated with the Contest and their respective officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees, (the "Released Parties"), from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the participant's participation in the Contest.

The "Score a Trip" (the "Sweepstakes") begins on March 23, 2013 at 12:00:00 AM and ends September 20, 2013 at 11:59:59 PM ("Entry Period") all entries via text will be compiled within the system, in which prizes will be randomly rewarded. The Sweepstakes is open to all legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older, who hold a valid driver's license living within a 115 mile radius of Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Drawing Deadline
There will be a total of three (3) random drawings (each a "Drawing" and collectively, the "Drawings") taking place during the Entry Period from among all eligible entries received by each applicable drawing entry deadline. The drawings will occur on the dates set forth below (each a "Drawing Date" and collectively, the "Drawing Dates"). No mechanically reproduced, illegible, forged, software generated, other automated or incomplete entries will be accepted. Sweepstakes entries will be deemed null and void and will be rejected if not submitted through authorized, legitimate channels. If a dispute as to the identity of any entrant cannot be resolved to Sponsors' satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible. Entry must be made by the entrant, only in the manner as set forth herein. All other methods of entry are considered void.
All information submitted online by entrants is subject to, and will be treated in a manner consistent with MLSsoccer.com's Terms of Service accessible at http://www.mlssoccer.com/terms-of-service, and Privacy Policy accessible at http://www.mlssoccer.com/privacy-policy (both of which are incorporated herein by reference). Entrants to the Sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from the Sponsor and MLS Entities; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's consent to receive such e-mails and consenting to do so will not increase your chances of winning.
All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. As permitted by law, each entrant agrees that personal information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes may be shared with the Sponsors to contact you regarding promotional update; information; messages; and for other reasons via electronic and/or ordinary mail and, will be used by Sponsors and such promotional partners in compliance with their respective privacy practices.
Random Drawing:
There will be one (1) winner for each of the three (3) Drawings set forth above (each, a "Drawing Winner" and collectively the "Drawing Winners"). Each Drawing Winner will be selected by random drawing on or about each Drawing Date from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor by each applicable Drawing entry deadline. The decisions of Sponsor, including the selection of Drawing Winners, are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. Limit one (1) prize per person, family and per household.
Prizes
Each Drawing Winner will receive (ii) two (2) tickets to one (1) San Jose Earthquakes MLS regular season home game taking place at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, California (each a "Game") and (ii) one (1) parking pass ("Drawing Prize"). Specific Game is determined by the Drawing for which Drawing Winner was selected (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV) of each Drawing Prize will not exceed $200.00) (ARV of all Drawing Prizes not to exceed: $600.00).
The Drawing Winners for each applicable Drawing must be able to attend the specific Game included in their Drawing Prize in order to be eligible to win that Drawing Prize and must be able to compete in an in-stadium Half-Time Event (as defined below) which will take place during the Game for the opportunity to win a Bonus Prize.
Each Drawing Winner acknowledges that he or she may not win the Bonus Prize. The Bonus Prize shall be awarded if the Drawing Winner successfully kicks a goal during Half Time. If the Drawing Winner is not able to participate in the Half-Time Event, Sponsor may select another Drawing Winner.
Half-Time Event
One (1) half-time event will occur on-field at half-time during each of the following San Jose Earthquakes regular season home games taking place on the following dates: (i) April 21, 2013; (ii) August 4, 2013; and (iii) October 9, 2013 (each a "Half-Time Event" and collectively, the "Half-Time Events"), There will be three (3) Half-Time Events in all.
Bonus Prizes
One (1) Bonus Prize shall be awarded to each Half-Time Event winner (each a "Bonus Winner" and collectively, the "Bonus Winners"). There will be three (3) Bonus Winners in all.
Match 1: One Grand Prize including two (2) Match Tickets and One (1) Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Seattle on Alaska Airlines for the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Seattle Sounders FC Match on May 11, 2013 in Seattle, WA. Alaska Airlines Coach Class Tickets will be valid for travel April 21, 2013 - April 21, 2014. Blackout dates include November 21, 2013 – December 1, 2013 and December 20, 2012- JAN 4, 2014. If Winner elects not to travel to Seattle for the Match on May 11, 2013, Winner will forgo the two (2) Match Tickets and will not receive any substituted match tickets or prize. Prizes are non-transferable, based on availability and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All prizes must be claimed by April 21, 2013.
Match 2: One Grand Prize including One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Hawaii on Alaska Airlines. Valid for travel August 4, 2013 - August 4, 2014. Blackout dates include November 21, 2013 – December 1, 2013 and December 20, 2012 - January 4, 2014. Prizes are non-transferable, based on availability and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All prizes must be claimed by August 4, 2013.
Match 3: One Grand Prize including two (2) Match Tickets and One (1) Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Los Angeles on Alaska Airlines for the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Los Angeles Galaxy Match on October 20, 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. Alaska Airlines Coach Class Tickets will be valid for travel October 9, 2013 - October 9, 2014. Blackout dates include November 21, 2013 – December 1, 2013 and December 20, 2012 - January 4, 2014. If Winner elects not to travel to Los Angeles for the Match on October 20, 2013 Winner will forgo the two (2) Match Tickets and will not receive any substituted match ticket or prize. Prizes are non-transferable, based on availability and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All prizes must be claimed by October 9, 2013.
Winner and Bonus Winner, hereinafter referred to as a "Winner" and collectively, as the "Winners"
Each Drawing Prize and Bonus Prize, hereinafter referred to as a "Prize" and collectively as the "Prizes." ARV of all Prizes: $7,000.00.
Each Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided and all other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of each Winner. All Prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion. Prizes do not include any additional tickets, transportation, food or beverages.
EACH WINNER'S GUEST, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, EACH BONUS PRIZE WINNER'S GUEST, MUST BE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTIONS OF RESIDENCE, UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY HIS/HER PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OR UNLESS THE CHILD OR LEGAL WARD OF SUCH WINNER.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at the Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole and absolute discretion. Major League Soccer game, event, and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of Major League Soccer and/or the applicable Major League Soccer team, as applicable, and may be subject to change. Seat locations will be determined by Sponsor.
Notification:
The potential Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone (in the sole discretion of the Sponsors, as applicable) by the Sponsors or Sponsors' agent in their sole and absolute discretion and such determination will be final and binding. In the event that any potential Winner does not respond to any such notification within twenty-four (24) hours of the first attempt to contact such Winner, a disqualification will result, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors' sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential Winner may be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. The potential Winner may be required to submit his/her valid social security number (if applicable) and/or other identification to Sponsors and will be required to execute, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability and, unless prohibited by law, Release of Publicity, within five (5) days of date of issuance. If all required documents are not properly executed and returned within the specified period of time, a disqualification will result, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors' sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential Winner may be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible entries. Refusal or return of such documents as non-deliverable or potential Winner's noncompliance with these Official Rules will also result in disqualification and prize forfeiture and, at Sponsors' sole discretion and time permitting, may cause an alternate potential Winner to be selected from among all remaining eligible entries.
Waiver of Liability/Publicity Release:
By participating in the Sweepstakes and submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, and (ii) waive any and all claims against Sponsors and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of any Prize or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Prize. Winner, by acceptance of Prize, grants the Sponsors and each of their respective designees the right to publicize such Winner's name, address (city and state, or district, of residence), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
General Conditions:
Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, undelivered, inaccurate, postage-due or garbled entries, e-mail or mail. Entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process will be disqualified. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the Prize or in any Sweepstakes-related materials, or the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Soccer game, event or exhibition. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website.
Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsors representatives or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsors, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsors and/or their respective agents. Sponsors have the sole right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in their sole discretion. Released Parties (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. laws in the County of New York, state of New York without giving effect to choice of law or conflicted law principles (whether of the state of New York, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of New York. Sponsors failure to enforce any terms of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Sponsors, reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes for any reason, including should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsors may elect to identify the Winner and award the Prize by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH ENTRANT AND SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
All entries must include a valid e-mail address or telephone number for the entrant. Proof of entering the required information at the Website is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt by Sponsors of entry into the Sweepstakes. In case of multiple entries received from any person or e-mail address or household, only the first entry received from such person, e-mail address or household will be considered. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a Winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry provided he/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. The "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as a business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
