New First Class Food Offerings
In early April we introduced new First Class food offerings on flights serving West Coast, East Coast and mid-continent destinations. Many of the new items feature Northwest products, including Ivar's Sweet Tomato Basil Bisque and "Mac 'N Cheese" made with Oregon and Washington artisan cheeses. We've also added more vegetarian dishes.
More Movies & Wi-Fi on New digEplayer
New digEplayers are now available on most flights longer than three hours. They offer touch-screen navigation and feature more new-release movies, television programs, the NFL Network, ReelzChannel Hollywood programming and interactive games. Internet access via our Alaska Airlines' Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi network is also available for an additional fee. SkyWest Now Flies for Alaska Airlines
This month, SkyWest Airlines began flying six West Coast routes for Alaska Airlines. The Utah-based carrier is serving these markets with 70-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets and offers complimentary Northwest microbrews and wine for all passengers 21 years and older, as well as picnic packs for purchase. The same planeside "à la Cart" baggage service offered on Horizon Air-operated flights is also available. Founded in 1972, SkyWest operates some 1,700 flights a day to more than 150 North American destinations on behalf of major carriers that also include Delta, United and AirTran.
