Getting Your Bags to the Plane On Time
For most international flights, your checked bags must be received
at least 60 minutes before departure.
For most domestic flights, your checked bags must be received
at least 40 minutes before departure.

Checked Baggage Fees
When Alaska Airlines baggage rules and fees apply, the checked baggage fee for standard sized bags is $25 each for the first two bags, and $75 for each additional bag. If you are unsure which airlines' baggage fee applies, refer to your confirmation letter.

Standard Size and Weight
Each piece of checked luggage can weigh up to 50 lbs and have a maximum dimension of 62 linear inches (length + height + width). Heavier or larger pieces are subject to additional fees.

Sporting Equipment and Firearms
Alaska Airlines will accept firearms and certain sporting equipment items as checked baggage provided each piece is properly packed in a soft or hard sided case designed specifically for the piece.
