Kodiak, Alaska Overview

This large island off the coast of Alaska is home to rugged country and ample wildlife. Among the most notable of its animals is the Kodiak bear, a native brown bear that's found nowhere else but here. Sustaining these imposing creatures are schools of giant salmon that are perfect for a fishing adventure. In addition to Kodiak's creatures, the culture of the Alaskan Natives who've lived in the area for eons is stunningly vibrant and well-preserved at the Alutiiq Museum and Archaeological Repository.
