El Farallon in Spanish means "a big Rock that comes out from the Ocean," when you see El Farallon for the first time, nestled into the rocks and overlooking the Pacific Ocean you will clearly understand its meaning. El Farallon, our seafood restaurant it's a place where the local fisherman bring their daily catch to sell and you can have it cooked on the spot. The core is of course the seafood shop that seems to have survived a few storms, where in the middle lays this rustic wooden boat "La Panga" where the local catch rest in mounts of shaved ice. Beside it, an old fashion scale indicates that the offering is by weight and the selection of the day is handwritten with chalk onto a blackboard. The grill in the background spreads the charred aroma as does the pungent flavor of freshly ground chilies. The menu selection features bounty from the surrounding waters. The server escorts the guest to "La Panga" where the "Fisherman" explains the daily selection.
