Lakefront Restaurant
This intimate spot has long been a destination for diners in the know: incredible food, an impressive wine list, pleasant atmosphere and lake views are all part of the Lakefront experience. Chef de Cuisine Frederic Pierrel, trained at the Institute Culinaire de Gerardmer, France, blends classic French cuisine with regional influences from his native eastern France and the eastern Sierra. Locally grown produce is artfully paired with a seafood terrine or smoked trout for a delectable starter. Favorite main courses include a mixed game selection or a pan-seared veal tenderloin and sea scallops. Desserts are something to be savored; follow a wild blueberry tart or a nougat glace with a rich glass of port. The Lakefront also has a full bar.

Mammoth Brewing Company
Mammoth Brewing Company has been brewing handcrafted beers locally in the Eastern Sierra since 1995. The most important ingredient in the beer is the water, and the High Sierra has some of the best in the world! High Sierra water is pristine, remote and protected. It starts as snowmelt, which is slowly filtered though the volcanic rock unique to the region. Mammoth Brewing Company has waited for more then a century for their water so you can enjoy their beers right now. The Tasting Room offers nine flavors of beers for tasting, and the retail store sells T-shirts, hats sweatshirts, pint glasses and the 54 oz Growler for $10 and refills anytime for $8.

Mogul Restaurant
Mogul has a reputation for the finest steaks in Mammoth. The restaurant started out in 1971 as a cook-your-own-steak place, and operated very successfully in that mode for the next 14 years. Seeing it was time for a transition, the Mogul changed to grill cooking in the dining room, done by the servers. It really works. Seated in a warm atmosphere that is all mountain, diners can choose from top sirloin, New York strip steak, filet mignon, and porterhouse. All are center cut, and are choice or better in quality.

Mountain Room Restaurant and Lounge
Located at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls. The menu is equally impressive, featuring sizzling steaks, fresh seafood and tasty pastas. The chef's specialties include local, organic and seasonal preparations including sustainable fish and seafood in accordance with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch List. The Mountain Room Restaurant is open year-round. The Mountain Room Lounge offers a relaxing mountain-themed atmosphere perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Nevado's
Nevado's is a longtime favorite with the locals and Los Angelenos on their annual ski or summer holiday. Owner/host Tim Dawson is usually on hand nightly to ensure that everyone's satisfied with the innovative cuisine and house-baked breads. Most everyone orders the prix-fixe three-course meal, which may consist of a strudel appetizer of wild mushrooms and rabbit with roasted shallots and grilled scallions; a main course of braised Provimi veal shank with roasted tomatoes and garlic mashed potatoes; and a warm pear-and-almond tart sweetened with caramel sauce and vanilla-bean ice cream for dessert.
