Missoula, Montana Overview

Situated in what many consider to be the prettiest area of Montana, Missoula is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts. Fishing, hiking, camping, and even skiing at Montana Snowbowl are main draws to this historic town. A patchwork of lakes and arteries of streams and rivers cover the area, satiating the emerald-green landscapes.

While outdoor pursuits are the town's bread and butter, there's much more to do than revel in nature. In fact, the Missoula area is home to great restaurants; historic Garnet Ghost Town; culturally rich art galleries and museums, like the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula; movies at the historic Wilma Theatre; and a still-running, stunningly hand-carved carousel from the early 1900s.
