23 Hoyt
The restaurant scene in Portland is among the most vibrant and interesting in the country. 23Hoyt steps up to the plate with (former college softball player) Chef Amber Webster. Amber moved from San Diego in late 2010 with the recommendation of her mentor and former boss, chef Jason Neroni. Amber brings a gutsy, farm-to-table sensibility to the 23Hoyt menu and a light hand with hearty and satisfying dishes such as Pork Cassoulet and handmade pasta dishes. The crave-able menu (with the best burger in town) still fits within the realm of "gastro-pub" with familiar offerings that exceed expectations on your first bite.
The comfortable cafe, bar and dining room features several seating areas including extensive outdoor cafe tables on bustling NW 23rd Avenue, in Nob Hill, the best boutique shopping neighborhood in the city.
3 Doors Down

Come in, sit down, and eat!

a Cena Ristorante
At a Cena, we share a love for simply cooked meals enjoyed with friends and family. We value fresh ingredients, local Portland area farmers, handmade pastas and cured meats, daily prepared breads, consistency, a well-matched wine list, and a seasoned and personable staff. With these elements, we strive to offer our guests a fine-dining experience with the comfort and warmth of an Italian country kitchen. Salute!
Accanto
Accanto is a lively cafe, enoteca and neighborhood gathering spot located next to Genoa restaurant in Southeast Portland. Accanto inhabits a formerly vacant space in the historic Genoa Building. Offering several small dishes for sharing and a handful of entrees, Accanto's menu will change with the seasons. Inspired by the many neighborhood enotecas he visited throughout Italy, chef David Anderson wanted to create Portland's version of this communal gathering space where the food and ingredients are of the highest quality. Accanto's wine list draws from Europe, as well as the Pacific Northwest; guests can also choose from Genoa's extensive bottle selection. The beverage list features cocktails made with spirits from local distillers, as well as Italian Grappas and digestivos. Since we live in the greatest beer city in the world, local microbrews will always be on tap. After many years in the making, this quiet neighborhood corner finally comes to life. We hope that you can join us.
Aladdin Theater
Once a vaudeville house, a family movie emporium, and a porn institution, the Aladdin Theater now stands as one of the shining lights of Portland's music venues. The theater has won numerous awards as Portland's favorite live music venue.

Andrea's Cha Cha Club
Upstairs, Andrea's is a sneeringly fun karaoke bar, but a tiny dance floor downstairs holds its real charm. Beneath the strains of amateur renditions of Journey songs lies a steamy, rhythm-infused salsa club. The dance floor is admittedly small, but that doesn't stop true salsa dancers from flocking to this club to infuse a little Cuban motion into the night.

Bastas opened its doors in 1992 and has always taken advantage of our Northwest bounty . We use local organic produce, meats, forest ingredients as well as fish. All of our fresh pastas as well as sausages, pancetta, breads, desserts and infusions are made in house. We believe in supporting our local artisans, and even though our chairs are original (recycled) post modern, they were refurbished locally and the couches and tables were made only a few blocks away. The wood on the walls and tables was salvaged from local barn lumber, and even the point of sale system was designed and is maintained locally.
We are at fault in only one way... our award winning wine list is Italian, like the owner.

Beast
Naomi Pomeroy, who was deservedly nominated for a James Beard award this year, runs a restaurant that's both intimate and communal. You sit at long tables and the guests tend to be knowledgeable food mavens, so there's inevitably good conversation. Since everyone is eating the same food, the meal itself is the verbal centerpiece. The set dinner menu changes weekly and is as responsive to the seasons as a robin and it's usually a 2 1/2-hour affair, beautifully paced with superb service. Pomeroy's cooking is inspired by French grandmothers, with touches rustic and elegant. The six courses are well-thought-out, individually and collectively, but all of it done in down-home Portland style: no fuss, no white napery. At the end of the meal you have had the perfect amount of food, in exquisite balance. The wine list is small and carefully thought out...a pairing of a small pour for each course is available, and highly recommended! . -Roger Porter for the Oregonian
