College Cellars of Walla Walla is a teaching winery located at the Center for Enology and Viticulture on the campus of Walla Walla Community College. The 15,000 square foot facility houses wine curriculum classrooms, a wine analysis laboratory, faculty offices, and the fully operational commercial winery. In addition, the building houses Walla Walla Community College's culinary arts program. College Cellars of Walla Walla is one of the only two-year teaching commercial wineries in the United States. The wines are crafted by students as a part of their study of the science of winemaking. Students hand-fill, cork and label all wines. The winery was bonded in September, 2003 and their first wine, a 2002 Sagemoor Vineyards Chardonnay, was released in May, 2004.
