Alfred Tup Holmes Golf Club
Alfred "Tup" Holmes is a historical, public golf site which once was a Civil War battlefield. The golf course is named after the civil rights pioneer who aimed to desegregate Atlanta's public golf courses in the 1950s. It was designed in 1940 by Garrett Gill and George B. Williams. In 2006, the course was renovated to include new Champion Bermuda greens which were installed on all 18 holes. The golf course is located just minutes from downtown Atlanta making it a great attraction with easy accessibility.
