1. REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE:
Beginning 12:00:01 AM, U.S. Pacific Time (U.S. PT), on 8/25/09 and ending 11:59:59 PM, U.S. PT, on 11/30/09, you can register to participate in the Alaska Airlines Million Mile Sweepstakes, by visiting www.alaskaair.com/www2/Promo/Registration/PromoEntry.aspx?pid=20090825MPREG, and providing your First Name, Last Name, Mileage Plan number and email address (if you do not have a Mileage Plan number, you may obtain one at no cost by following the directions in Rule #4 below).
2. ENTER BY COMPLETING TRAVEL BY 11/30/09 ON A PURCHASED TICKET USING ALASKA OR HORIZON AND DELTA OR NORTHWEST:
Once registered, from 12:00:01 AM, U.S. PT, on 8/25/09 through 11:59:59 PM, U.S. PT, on 11/30/09, ('Promotion Period'), each time you fly a qualifying round-trip ticket that includes a flight segment operated by Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air and Delta Air Lines or Northwest Airlines, and all flights listed on that ticket are completed by 11:59:59 PM, U.S. PT, on 11/30/09, you will receive one (1) entry into the Alaska Airlines Million Mile Sweepstakes. A qualifying round-trip ticket is any purchased ticket that is flown during the Promotion Period that includes within the same ticketed itinerary at least one flight segment operated by Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air and at least one flight segment operated by Delta Air Lines or Northwest Airlines (or their regional affiliates Delta Connection® or Northwest Airlink). Codeshare flights operated by carriers other than the carriers listed in the preceding sentence are excluded from this offer. The term 'completed' flight means that the ticket holder must board and depart on the final flight segment of the qualifying ticket by 11:59:59 PM, U.S. PT, on 11/30/09 (departure time as determined by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air). If a flight departs after 11/30/09, or entrant does not complete all segments of a qualifying ticket by that date, then entrant will NOT receive an entry into the Sweepstakes.
The completion of travel on a qualifying ticket will generate one (1) entry, regardless of how many flight segments are included on the ticket (not one entry for each flight segment of a qualifying ticket).
3. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
If you wish to enter without purchase, you do not need to register online (as outlined in Rule 1 above). You may enter the Sweepstakes via mail by legibly hand-printing your complete name and address with zip code, area code and phone number and Mileage Plan number, on a 3 x 5 piece of paper. Mail your entry in a hand-addressed, postage-paid, (10) envelope to: Alaska Airlines Million Mile Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 1586, West Caldwell, NJ 07007-1586, USA. Mailed entries must be postmarked by 12/02/09 and received by 12/11/09. You may enter as often as you wish via mail, but limit one (1) entry per stamped outer mailing envelope, mailed separately. No copies or reproductions accepted.
4. TO OBTAIN A MILEAGE PLAN NUMBER:
If you are not already a Mileage Plan member, visit www.alaskaair.com or call 1-800-654-5669 to join Mileage Plan (no purchase is necessary to obtain a Mileage Plan number). 5. WINNER SELECTION:
One (1) Potential Winner will be selected in a random drawing, conducted on or about 12/21/09, from all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted by an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.
6. PRIZE:
One (1) Grand Prize - One million Miles awarded under the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program (Approximate Retail Value - $20,000 USD). Prize Miles will be deposited into Winner's Mileage Plan account 4-6 weeks following notification. All Mileage Plan program rules apply to Mile prize, Mileage Plan program membership, Miles, offers, Mile accrual, Mile redemption and travel benefits. To review the Mileage Plan program rules, please visit www.alaskaair.com. Taxes and fees for award travel are the responsibility of the passenger and must be paid at the time the ticket is booked. Award travel seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Mileage Plan offer void where prohibited by law and other restrictions may apply. Mileage Plan offer subject to change. No more than one prize will be awarded with a total Approximate Retail Value not to exceed $20,000 USD.
7. GENERAL RULES:
Open to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada, except Quebec Province, 18 or older as of 8/24/09. Employees of Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, their subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies and immediate families (spouse, children, parents, siblings, regardless of where they live) and persons living in the same household of such employees, whether related or not, are not eligible. Void in the Province of Quebec, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions, and where prohibited. Taxes (including airport fees/airport taxes upon Mileage Plan redemption) will be winner's responsibility. No transfer/cash substitution of prize permitted. If entering with a ticket purchase, the official/eligible entrant will be considered the name/person registered to the Mileage Plan number under which the ticket was issued, who may or may not be the actual ticket purchaser. Potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release within five (5) days of attempted notification. If these documents are not returned within the time specified, or if any notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if the Potential Winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. If the Potential Winner is a resident of Canada, he/she will be required to correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question, in order to receive the prize. Potential Winner will be notified by mail within approximately 45 days of the drawing. Sweepstakes subject to U.S. and Canadian federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. Participants release Sponsor, its partners, agencies, and assigns from any liability and/or loss to person(s), and property, resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance and/or use of a prize. By their entry, participants are agreeing to these rules and that the decisions of the judges and Sponsor are final and binding in all respects. By acceptance of prize, the Winner agrees to Sponsor's use of his/her name/likeness for commercial purposes without notification/compensation, except where prohibited by law. No mechanical/automated devices/third party derived entries may be used to participate. Sponsor is not responsible for lost/late/misdirected/illegible/postage-due entries, lost or late purchase transactions or mail or computer malfunctions. Sponsor reserves the right to post, remove and/or modify this Sweepstakes from the Internet at any time with appropriate notification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries from anyone tampering with the Web site or entry process. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes or drawing is not capable of running as planned by reason of damage by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical limitations or failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, could compromise, undermine or otherwise affect the Official Rules, administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right in its absolute discretion, to modify these Official Rules and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of termination or cancellation, a potential Winner will be selected from all eligible entries received before the time of termination, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor and the judges. Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or jumbled, scrambled transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to the site or program/programming error or failure, or failure to capture or retain a purchase or other information. Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air are not responsible for injury or damage to entrants' or to any other person's computer, other equipment, or person relating to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes, or from downloading materials or accessing the site.
