To use the rate charts, first identify the city and zone you're shipping to and from using our Zone Map - effective April 26, 2013 (362K) or City Zone List - effective April 10, 2013 (101K). Then, select and use the rate sheet for the product or commodity you're shipping.

Alaska Air Cargo's Fuel Surcharge methodology is based on the Platt's Los Angeles Mean fuel index and therefore allows us to better correlate the Fuel Surcharge with our actual fuel costs. We adjust the Fuel Surcharge based on certain sustained variations in this index. We will provide two weeks' notice of any adjustment on our Fuel Surcharge web page where you can always find the most current pricing information.
All shipments in the Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air Cargo network are currently assessed a $0.18 per pound USD Fuel Surcharge. The Fuel Surcharge is calculated based on the shipment's actual weight and is subject to taxation.
The Security Surcharge assessed on all GoldStreak, PetStreak Animal Express, Priority and General Freight shipments, including all Specific Commodity Rates, tendered in the Lower 48 Continental U.S., Hawaii, Mexico and Canada portions of the Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air network is $0.06 per pound USD. The Security Surcharge is calculated based on the shipments actual weight and is subject to taxation.
The Security Surcharge assessed on all shipments tendered in the State of Alaska is $0.02 per pound USD. The Security Surcharge is calculated based on the shipments actual weight and is subject to taxation.
Non-screened seafood shipments tendered in the State of Alaska
The Security Surcharge assessed on all non-screened seafood shipments tendered in the State of Alaska is $0.04 per pound USD.
Minimum Charge Per Air Waybill*
Shipments tendered in the Lower 48, Hawaii, Mexico and Canada.
A minimum of $4.00 USD per air waybill shall be charged for all shipments tendered in the Lower 48, Hawaii, Mexico and Canada.
Shipments tendered in the State of Alaska
A minimum of $2.00 USD per air waybill shall be charged for all shipments tendered in State of Alaska.

Transportation charges are based on the greater of the actual gross weight or the cubic dimensional weight of one pound per 194 cubic inches or fraction thereof for domestic shipments and 166 cubic inches or fraction thereof for international shipments.
