When you check your equipment with us, you won’t incur an oversize bag charge when it’s properly packed in a soft or hard-sided case.
Alaska’s ski gear policy*
When you fly Alaska, your ski and snowboard equipment may exceed 62” (linear) but no more than 115" (linear) without incurring an oversize bag fee.
As long as your equipment doesn’t exceed 50 lbs, you’ll pay the standard bag fees—starting at $35 for the first checked bag.
What we accept as a single checked bag:
- Skiing or snowboarding equipment up to 50 lbs.
- 1 boot/helmet bag, without additional equipment or clothes.
