Freight for Less Benefit

Freight for Less offers Club 49 members $49* (plus tax) cargo shipping within the state of Alaska. Ship up to 100 lbs. in up to two 35-gallon totes or sturdy shipping containers that do not exceed 20”x30”x15” each. Oversized, unpackaged or hazardous materials may not be shipped. Freight for Less shipments can be made Monday through Saturday during Cargo operation hours. Freight offices across Alaska have limited hours on Sundays and accept only Priority and Gold Streak shipments. Please check with your station in question for hours of operation.

Member eligibility

Must be a resident of Alaska, military personnel living on base or permanently stationed in Alaska. Residency is validated at alaskaair.com at the time of registration using Alaska state public records and requires customer’s consent for validation.
Must have an active Mileage Plan account and My account profile.
Eligibility is revalidated annually on the anniversary date of original enrollment. If Alaska Airlines is able to revalidate eligibility automatically, members will automatically be reenrolled for the following year. If Alaska Airlines is unable to revalidate residency automatically, members are required to reenroll.

Free checked baggage

Members are eligible for two free checked bags for themselves and all travelers on the same reservation on flights operated by Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, and SkyWest Airlines (Flight Series 3440–3499) only. Itinerary must include a flight to or from Alaska to qualify.
Benefit does not extend to all travelers in a group reservation.
Member’s Mileage Plan number must be on the reservation before bags are checked.
Benefit is not available when connecting to another carrier for international travel or checking in with a codeshare or airline partner.
Member’s number may not be changed from Mileage Plan to another program for any part of the reservation when the free-checked-baggage benefit has been used.

Travel Now discounts

Two Travel Now discounts are issued upon enrollment and annually when membership eligibility is revalidated.
Travel Now discounts are displayed in the discount code section of the member’s My account profile.
Redeemable only at alaskaair.com.
Valid for 30% off one-way travel in a refundable Y-Class fare for the Club 49 member. The Travel Now discount is not transferable.
Valid on flights operated by Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, and SkyWest Airlines (Flight Series 3440–3499) only.
Travel must include one Alaskan city and take place within four days of ticket purchase.
Only one discount may be used per reservation. If more than one Club 49 member is traveling, a separate reservation must be made for each discount used.
