How do I earn Mileage Plan miles?

  • Flying on Alaska Airlines and our airline partners
  • Using a non-airline partner like Hotels, Cars, Shopping, Dining and more.
  • Make purchases with an Alaska Airlines credit card

How do I ensure that I receive the miles I earned?

It is essential to provide your Mileage Plan number when making a flight, car, or hotel reservation. Most of our partners allow you to enter your Mileage Plan number directly on their websites when booking. Otherwise, call the partner directly and provide it over the phone, or provide it in person at the time of check-in. We recommend that you retain all receipts and confirmations until the miles have posted to your account.

How do I request missing credit?

Requesting missing credit for air or partner activity is further explained on our Request credit page.

I registered for a Double Miles campaign. How are the double miles calculated?

Double miles are based solely on the base miles earned, excluding any elite bonuses or other bonus miles. Alaska Airlines flights that are less than 500 miles in length will receive double the minimum 500 mile accrual.

Class of Service Bonuses will be earned in addition to double miles but will not be doubled.
