For flights that are within the flight number range () , Mileage Plan base miles, class of service bonuses and elite qualifying miles (EQMs) earned are based on class of service booked, elite status and booking channel.
To qualify, flights must be within the flight number range () , and be marketed and operated by or codeshare flights marketed by and operated by oneworld member airlines or affiliates. The two-letter airline code () must precede the flight number (for example, XXXX) on your ticket receipt or boarding pass. Based on the above earn chart, base miles and fare-class bonus miles earned are eligible for elite qualifying miles.
flights booked into the flight classes above do not count towards the Alaska Airlines minimum segment requirement to earn elite status.
Award flights booked into the fare classes above are not eligible to earn Mileage Plan miles, elite qualifying miles, or segments.
To calculate the number of miles you can earn, there are three factors to consider. Base miles, bonus miles (which are granted according to the earn charts) and any elite-earning bonuses (not shown here, consult your elite benefits for details). Please note that every fare class may not be available on every flight for all routes and destinations. Miles are calculated based on class-of-service booked, not flown. No miles will be earned for free or award travel, deeply discounted or bulk fares. No miles will be earned for fare classes not listed above. Earn a minimum of 500 miles on flights shorter than 500 miles.
1Cabin
When you book a flight, this is a combination of where you will sit on the
plane and the services you requested to go with that seat. A First Class seat
is an example of a cabin seat.
2Purchased Fare Class
Airlines have letters assigned for each fare class. There can be multiple fare
classes in a cabin. You can see the fare class in the flight details while
searching and booking a flight and on your flight confirmation information.
3Base miles
Base miles are the miles you earn for the flight you completed and the number
of miles is based on a percentage of the actual flight miles flown. The
percentage varies depending on the partner and fare class purchased.
4Bonus miles
These are class-of-service bonuses you can get for that specific fare class
purchased. These are not associated with the elite bonus miles benefit.
