When you cancel or change a nonrefundable Alaska Airlines ticket, you can choose to receive any remaining ticket value as a credit certificate for future travel.
Certificates are valid for 12 months from the issue date of your original ticket, or 30 days from the date of exchange or cancellation, whichever is greater.
Credit certificates are issued via an email from service@iflyalaska.com containing your certificate code and PIN. Both the certificate code and PIN are needed to use or view your credit balance.
Save the email for your records. Check certificate balance
Search for "service@ifly.alaskaair.com" in your email inbox.
The subject lines will be “Your Alaska Airlines credit certificate”.
You will enter your credit certificate and PIN on the payment page of our full site. Credit certificates cannot be used on the mobile site or app.
If you have multiple certificates, remember to match the PIN to the correct certificate.
Any remaining balance stays on your certificate until it expires. If the certificate balance is less than the total due, a credit card will be required for the remainder of the purchase.
The easiest way to store and use credit certificates is to deposit them into your wallet. They can be tracked in your account and the balance applied together with other wallet funds on the Payment page.
Credit certificates must be used to purchase a new ticket before the expiration date passes. Travel can take place up to 11 months later, but the ticket must be purchased with the credit before the expiration date.
You can find the expiration date on your credit certificate email, or if you've deposited them into your wallet, you can find the expiration date under 'Available funds'.
