Changes at airports
Making Virgin America part of Alaska Airlines means changes at airports we serve, moving to gates and terminals that are closer together and updating our lounges, to make your future travel simpler. Use our airport guides to find the airport information you’ll need before you fly.
In Chicago, we're now located at Terminal 2.
As of March 14, 2019, our ticket counters, kiosks, curbside check-in, and baggage office are now located in Terminal 2.
All Alaska Airlines flights continue to operate out of the G Concourse, gates G4 and G6. Both the Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 security checkpoints offer access to the G Concourse.
For flights landing in Chicago, head to the Terminal 2 baggage claim to pick up your bags. For flights departing Chicago, be sure to check your flight details to make sure you check in at the correct terminal. Gate and terminal information can be found on our mobile app, or by checking your boarding pass.

Terminal construction is affecting travel at SeaTac; keep an eye out for airport signs added to guide you around the construction. As airport improvements continue, food and shopping options may be limited in a few areas and the Concourse C train station will be closed to replace its elevator and escalators. Some flights may depart out of remote gates, which will involve traveling on a shuttle bus between the new Concourse D Annex and the aircraft, so be prepared for a slightly different travel experience.

You’ll find Alaska Airlines at Terminal 7 of John F. Kennedy International Airport, with flights departing from gates 1-12.
Terminal 7 is currently being upgraded. As a result, TSA PreCheck® is not available, and you might encounter back-ups getting to the terminal. Be sure to arrive at the airport early, and leave yourself extra time to get through security and to your gate. Also, as construction work to add new gate spaces and update restaurants and shops continues, be prepared for limited food and shopping options once you're inside the terminal.
See our JFK airport guideIn SAN, we’re now located at Terminal 2E.
As of January 29, 2019, all Alaska Airlines flights operate out of Terminal 2E of San Diego International Airport. This means that our ticket counters, kiosks, gates, curbside check-in, and baggage office are now found at their new locations in Terminal 2E.
Before heading to the airport, check your flight details to make sure you arrive at the correct terminal and leave plenty of time to check in and arrive at the right gate.
See our SAN airport guideSFO flights may arrive at the International Terminal.
At SFO, most of our flights arrive and depart out of Terminal 2, but some may arrive at the International Terminal. If your flight arrives at the International Terminal and your connecting flight leaves from a different terminal, you will need to leave security and take the AirTrain (located just outside of the International Terminal security checkpoint) to get to your flight.
