Extended Helicopter Glacier Trek
This trek is the ultimate Alaskan adventure on ice. It includes three hours hiking and climbing over the rugged terrain of the glacier. Upon landing, the guide teaches the adventurer the basics of glacier travel and then leads the group on an exploration of the most pristine and remote areas of the glacier. Helicopter Glacier Trek
On this 2-hour hike, there is an early emphasis on learning the proper use of the mountaineering gear and understanding the glacier features and hazards so that more remote areas of the glacier can be accessed. The hike is interspersed with fun and interesting explanations of the glacier and the surrounding environment. No experience is necessary, though participants should be prepared for physical activity. Participants should be comfortable hiking approximately two miles over uneven and sometimes steep terrain.
