Dry Canyon
You don’t have to go far in Redmond to enjoy the great outdoors, as Dry Canyon runs right through the center of the city. This 3.7-mile path is perfect for a stroll or a cycle with the whole family. The park is also home to a number of activities, such as tennis, softball and a disc golf course.
Redmond Caves
The Redmond Caves are six lava tubes formed 80,000 years ago and are fascinating to explore and find out more about the geology of the area. Archaeological artifacts that were found in the caves show they were used by prehistoric Native Americans at one time. Each cave has an evocative name, like Lions Cave, Cave Next Door and Airport Cave.
Petersen Rock Garden and Museum

North Umpqua River
Around three and a half hours away by car via the OR-126 is the North Umpqua River, a natural corridor that has been carved out by the water to create a beautiful place to explore. There’s a number of easily accessible trails to follow and 17 waterfalls to discover throughout the valley. If you fancy more of a challenge, then the North Umpqua Trail stretches for 79 miles and can be tackled on foot or by mountain bike.
Portland

It lies around three hours’ drive away via the US-26 and is worth visiting for its vibrant cultural scene, parks, bridges and coffeehouses.
