Caring for our people is an integral part of Alaska's culture—extending beyond our employees to our guests, suppliers and the communities we serve. We believe that when everyone belongs, everyone can feel safe, respected, valued and empowered. This approach isn't just aligned with our values—it's also great for business. Teams collaborate more effectively, guests return more frequently, and our communities become stronger partners driving Alaska's continued success and growth.

We remain committed to attracting and retaining the best talent wherever it exists, ensuring clarity and consistency in compensation and career growth, and cultivating opportunities that empower every employee to reach their full potential. We also believe education is essential to these goals, which is why we're working to create career pathways for at least 175,000 young people through our pipeline development programs and partners like Summer Search, Boy Scouts, and United Negro College Fund (UNCF). Our efforts extend beyond hiring to improving the guest experience, adopting best practices in how we do business, and more.

Creating connection with Business Resource Groups

Business Resource Groups are a core component of belonging at Alaska and Horizon Air. These 13 employee-led communities foster connections, support career development, advocate for mental health and wellness, and build meaningful bridges to the communities we serve. Members also bring forward insights that help shape key business decisions, from expanding Spanish-language content on AlaskaAir.com and co-creating the Fly for All app to advancing onboard sustainability.

Supporting companies that reflect our communities As a large company, we have an opportunity to make an impact in the communities we do business in. But a business is only as good as its supply chain. At the heart of it, our supplier network, like our employees, should reflect the guests who fly with us and the places we serve. We have developed a program that promotes an open and opportunity-driven environment and creates space for a wide range of suppliers to grow and thrive.
