Military fares

What other rules apply to this military fare?

Military passenger must:

• Present a valid active duty Armed Forces of the United States Identification Card.
• Or, separation papers for travel within 7 days of discharge from active military service.

Military passenger family members must:

• Be a legal dependent of the military passenger.
• Present proper identification and documentation at check-in.
• Military dependents 10 or older must present a white Uniform Services Dependent Identification and Privilege Card marked “active” at check-in.
• If a spouse, child, or dependent's name is different than the military passenger, additional documentation to prove dependency may be needed.

Here are a few more details that apply:

• Discharged military personnel must complete all travel within 7 days of discharge.
• The fare does not apply to military passengers who are on temporary duty orders traveling to/from their temporary duty stations, or to retired personnel.
• The discount is valid on Alaska Airlines flights, and Horizon, SkyWest, and PenAir flights operated as Alaska Airlines flights.
• This fare discount only applies to new tickets purchased by contacting our call center.
• All rules associated with the fare are applicable.
• All fees associated with the fare are applicable, including change and name transfer fees.
• Instant ticketing is required
