Flying with REAL ID-compliant identification
Do you have a REAL ID? Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need a state-issued REAL ID compliant license or identification card, or another acceptable form of ID (such as a passport), to fly within the United States.
Here’s some information to help make sure you’re ready to fly when these new identification rules begin.
What is REAL ID?

How do I update my ID to make sure I can fly?
Every state’s identification process is different. You have a few options:
