Corporate giving guidelines

We support organizations on a one-time basis and ask that organizations submit requests at least six weeks prior to the event. We accept requests for sponsorships for fundraising events for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations registered in and providing services primarily directed to those in one of the identified states: AK, AZ, CA, DC, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, WA.

We prioritize partnerships with nonprofits across several key areas of focus, including:

Youth Success

We believe that the better future we all envision for youth begins with the work we do today. Whether it's access to mentorship, an afterschool program, or leadership development, we're proud to partner with nonprofits that understand the urgency of youth needs and have the resources to meet them.

Career Readiness

We believe a pathway to a great career should be available to everyone. With a focus on engaging people with the greatest need for opportunities, we team up with nonprofits committed to breaking down barriers across every milestone of career readiness, from education and skills training to networking, interview prep, and more.

Care and Belonging

We believe communities are strongest when every person has the opportunity to thrive. Through our contributions to nonprofits, we help uplift individuals, build meaningful connections, and create opportunities for all to succeed.

Environmental Sustainability

Alaska Airlines has a proud tradition of innovation in environmental performance. In addition to always looking for ways to improve the efficiency of our operations and reducing the burden we place on the planet; we also aim to support nonprofit organizations preserving the communities we love.

Community Resiliency

Alaska proudly supports nonprofit organizations that support the immediate needs of individuals and families in the local communities of places where we fly.

Request guidelines

We accept requests for in-kind transportation and sponsorships for fundraising events for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Limited resources necessitate focused giving in our communities, and support is generally granted on a one-time basis.

Requests that are not eligible include:

• Groups that discriminate on any basis protected by applicable law
• Capital projects
• Endowments or Private Foundations
• Rotary
• Golf Tournaments
• Guilds
• Individual requests (must be a 501c3 nonprofit request)
• Multi-year commitment or automatic renewal grants
• Organizations whose prime purpose is to influence legislation
• Pageants
• Pass-through donations (organizations raising funds for other nonprofits)
• Prizes for incentives
• Publicly or privately funded educational institutions.
• Religious, political or fraternal organizations
• Scholarships
• School auctions, PTA events, booster clubs, graduation parties are not eligible
• Sports team events
• Silent auctions and online auctions
• Memorials
• Walks/Runs without employee engagement
• Support in areas without Alaska Airlines/Horizon/Hawaiian service

How to apply

Here are a few things to keep in mind when applying for a donation:

• Once submitted, all requests are personally reviewed
• Please review our corporate giving guidelines above for eligibility requirements
• All requests must be submitted six weeks prior to the event or print deadline
• You will receive a response via e-mail
• You can check the status or your request through your online profile
