Effective June 1, 2013, Icelandair will no longer be a Mileage Plan™ partner. Tickets purchased on or after June 1, 2013, will not earn Mileage Plan™ Miles. Tickets purchased on or before May 31, 2013, will continue to earn miles for travel through February 28, 2014.

Existing award travel, and award travel booked by May 31, 2013, will be honored for travel through February 28, 2014. Award travel on Icelandair cannot be booked or changed after May 31, 2013.

For ticket purchases and award bookings to Europe after June 1, 2013, please consider our other partners – Air France, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, and KLM.

Earning on Icelandair

Economy Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in M, B, K, Q, T, V, H, L, S, O, N, P or U classes of service.

Economy Comfort (Premium Economy) Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in Y, E or A classes of service, plus 10% Bonus Miles.

Saga (Business Class) Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in C, D or J classes of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles.

Elite Qualifying Flight Miles: No

*Earn 500 minimum miles on flights less than 500 miles. Actual miles flown = 1 mile per flight mile flown. Miles may not be earned for tickets flown in W, X, I, R or Z classes of service. Some deeply discounted, and industry fares are ineligible to earn miles.

To qualify for mileage accrual, please note that your flights must fall within the eligible flight number range below and your flight must be marketed and operated by Icelandair.

Add A Mileage Plan™ Number to an Existing Reservation: If you are traveling on Icelandair and would like to enter your Mileage Plan™ number in your reservation, please visit Icelandair.com or call Icelandair Reservations at 1-800-223-5500.

Request Mileage Credit: Allow 4 to 6 weeks for miles to post. Missing miles must be requested within 12 months of original flight date. To request mileage credit for flights already taken, email us a copy of your ticket receipt and at least one boarding pass to mileage.plan@alaskaair.com.
