Check-In & Boarding Cut-off Times

Check-In With Bags

When checking bags on Alaska Airlines all checked luggage must be processed by the cut-off times listed below to avoid rebooking on a later flight. For fastest check in, be sure to use your debit card or credit card while checking in online via Web Check-In or at an airport kiosk.

Please note that these cut-off times will not ensure that you make it to your departure gate in time for boarding. Busy security lines and heavy passenger traffic may require extra time.

To ensure we can accommodate your checked bag, passengers will not be allowed to check bags for their flights after these cut-off times:

1 Passengers traveling from Guadalajara have a 90-minute baggage cut-off time.
2 The following cities have a 45 minute baggage cut-off time: Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, Newark, and Philadelphia.

Note: Between June 1 and August 31, checked baggage for customers departing King Salmon and Dillingham must be presented and processed at least 60 minutes prior to departure.

Check-In Without Bags

When traveling without checked bags, check-in cut-off time 60 minutes prior to departure for international flights, 45 minutes for flights departing Atlanta, Denver, and Las Vegas, and 30 minutes for all other domestic flights. Passengers will not be allowed to check in for their flights after these cut-off times.

For travel between June 1 and August 31, customers departing King Salmon or Dillingham must be checked in at least 60 minutes prior to departure.

Boarding

To accommodate all travelers on a flight, passengers must be checked in and available to board at least 30 minutes before posted departure for all flights. Failure to meet these requirements may cause the cancellation of reserved seats and/or the entire reservation.
