FAQ
How do I upgrade?
On the website Sign in and access your trip details page to upgrade your flight. Alternatively, go to the Trips tab, click on your seat number, or select 'Manage/Change' in the passenger information section.

On the mobile app Go to the 'Trips' tab and select your trip's travel card. From there, choose 'Seats' to view the seat map and select a seat upgrade.

On the Day of travel When you check in for your flight, you will be asked to confirm your seat selection. You can purchase any available upgrade at that time.

What types of upgrades are there?
Main Preferred You can purchase an upgrade on the seat selection page. Each upgrade can be paid for individually.

Premium Class Select 'Premium Class' on the results table at the start of the booking process or purchase an upgrade on the seat selection page.

First Class Select 'First Class' on the results table at the start of the booking process or select 'Upgrade to First Class' on the cart page.

Can I pay for an upgrade for one person in my travel party?
For Premium Class and Main Preferred seating, each passenger in your party can select an upgraded seat separately. For First Class, all members of your party will be upgraded for the entire trip.
What about complimentary status upgrades?

Can I cancel just the upgraded portion of the seat and receive a refund?
In most cases, seat upgrades are non-refundable. If you qualify for a refund, and it hasn’t automatically been applied, you can request one at the gate or by calling our customer care representatives after you have completed your entire trip.
How do I get the receipt for my upgrade purchase?
Receipts will be sent to the email used on the reservation. If your email is not on the reservation, you can send a copy to the email of your choice.
What are the differences in benefits between the First Class, Premium Class, and Main Preferred?
Both First Class and Premium Class seating feature benefits unavailable in Main Cabin; such as additional legroom, early boarding, and premium beverages. You can view the full list on the First and Premium Class product pages.

Main Preferred has the same benefits as Main Cabin, in more favorable locations. Some seats also have additional legroom, but do not include additional benefits.
Can I use my Atmos™ Rewards points to purchase seat upgrades?
No, you cannot use points for seat upgrades at this time.
How many points do I earn when I upgrade?
You earn base points, bonus points, and Status points based on your upgraded fare class. Learn about earning on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines flights.
Can I upgrade into First Class if I originally booked Main cabin? 
Anytime after you book your flight, you can upgrade into First Class if space is available. You will pay the price between the current First Class fare and main class fare. 
I received a First Class "Last Minute Upgrade" message, what is that?
Occasionally, discounted First Class upgrades are made available within 48 hours of departure. Unlike a full fare upgrade, these discounted upgrades do not include bonus points or lounge access for long-distance flights.
